Our carers are trained to encourage independence and
promote a satisfying quality of life, whilst ensuring that our clients
retain their personal
dignity and independence, within the limitations of their physical and mental
condition.
Personal care includes (but are not confined to):

Assisting the service user to get up from bed

The use of hoist or manual handling techniques, where the service user is unable to transfer without assistance.
Washing, assisting with bathing and/or strip wash, shaving, hair care, skin, care, denture and mouth care.

Assistance with dressing, toileting and the management of incontinence, including the changing of incontinence pads, cleaning and the safe disposal of waste.

Prompting the service user to take prescribed medication, eye drops or ear drops.

Preparing snacks and meals (usually convenience foods).

Assistance with eating and drinking including associated kitchen cleaning and hygiene.
