We work in partnership with Cornwall College to provide our City and Guilds Level 4 Award in Leadership and Management which is a statutory requirement for the registered manager of an organisation providing care.

We are currently able to offer this City and Guilds level 4 NVQ registered manager's award at a very competitive price, please phone for details.

The Award consists of 10 units selected from 5 groups (All of group A, 1 from each of groups B,C,D and E and 2 from any).
Group A consists of 4 manditory core units which all candidates must complete.
Candidates should then select 6 units from the other groups relative to their specific role.

Group A consists of 4 manditory core units

Group B relates to managing activities

  • Manage activities to meet requirements
  • Contribute to improvements at work
  • Develop programes, projects and plans
  • Contribute to the provision of effective physical, social and emotional environments for group care
  • Ensure individuals and groups are supported appropriately when experiencing significate events.
  • Promote the interests of client groups in the community.

Group C reates to Managing people and other resources

  • Take responsibility for your business performance and continuing development of self and others
  • Develop teams and individuals
  • Create, maintain and develop and effective working environment
  • Select personnel for activities
  • Develop and sustain arrangements for joint working between workers and agencies
  • Develop your plans for the business

Group D relates to managing information

  • Provide information to support decision making.
  • Facilitate meetings

Group E relates to Quality management.

  • Manage continuous quality improvement
  • Monitor compliance with with quality systems
